Made from hallmarked, forged Sterling Silver with oxidised Mokume Gane of fused Brass, Copper and Silver.

I have always been fascinated by Mokume Gane since I first came across it in 2013. In case you do to know Mokume Gane is a fusion of different colour metals. These metals can be a fusion of precious or nonprecious ones or a mix of both. In this ring the fusion is a combination of Silver, Brass and Copper.

I love the way that Mokume Gane (which translates to ‘bark like’) looks and then by adding a forged texture on top it becomes even more interesting for me. Because the metal is so striking, I felt a simpler ring design would show it off best, therefore the second of the flick ring was born. It was a very similar shank to the Slumped Flick Ring, but the actual flick is much wider and stand proud of the forged silver shank.

The ring is finished with an oxidation using Liver of Sulphur that turns the Sterling Silver a lustrous very dark-slate grey but the leaves the Brass and Copper still their original colours.

This ring is 23mm tall, 27mm wide and 18mm deep.
